Can a Wild hog/boar be the top of the food chain?

Please try to understand my question and give a thorough, well thought out answer. What I meant is; can a wild/feral pig, with no natural predators be considered top of the food chain? Take Hawaii as an example. Other than man, the wild Hogs there have no natural predators. The largest mammalian predator there is the invasive mongoose, which is roughly 2 lbs. What I'm confused about is whether or not a hog can be considered top. As far as I'm aware of Hogs, don't 'hunt' anything larger than bugs, and will occasionally take carrion. So can a hog be considered top of the food chain?
