my friends and family think that my boyfriend of 6 months is too controlling. my mother refers to him as my "master" and my friends question why i put up with his behavior. i am 18 years old and her is 21. the reason they think he is controlling is because he doesn't like for me to wear shorts, any shirt other than a tee shirt, high heels, or makeup. I do love him, very much, so i do not want to leave him. my excuse to my friends when they ask why i am still with him is because sometime you do things, or don't do things, because the person you love is more important than the other things. am i wrong?

Maybe this will just be a help in the misscommunications you're having. You're playing a lot of back & forth things, ending up getting mad & upset over things & it's coming between the two of you. Maybe start talking in person more & get things back on an even keel. I'm sure glad we didn't have "texting" back in the days I was dating, there's nothing like actually hearing one's voice & getting things straight from the beginning instead of this "texting" stuff. Shifting gears on my mountain bike - stiff shifter lever-Help!?

I have a Mongoose Quartz 18 speed Mountain Bike (model# R4773KM) The shifters go around the handel bars right next to the grips. The one on the left (for the the front derailleur) works great, very easy to turn, click, click, click, done. The one on the right side (rear derailleur) works fine going one way but very, very hard to move when trying to go up to the bigger sprockets. Down to the smaller gears sprockets easy, but real hard to move the gear shifter when going to the bigger ones. Any ideas?

Can a Wild hog/boar be the top of the food chain?

Please try to understand my question and give a thorough, well thought out answer. What I meant is; can a wild/feral pig, with no natural predators be considered top of the food chain? Take Hawaii as an example. Other than man, the wild Hogs there have no natural predators. The largest mammalian predator there is the invasive mongoose, which is roughly 2 lbs. What I'm confused about is whether or not a hog can be considered top. As far as I'm aware of Hogs, don't 'hunt' anything larger than bugs, and will occasionally take carrion. Why is my cat breathing different?

Just lately I've noticed my cat breathing differently. Her activity level has not changed. She is 3 months old and occasionally makes weird breath sounds. One time she hoped to the back of the couch and sounded the the air was pushed out of her lungs really fast. She didn't act weird and just went about her way. What should i do about my stolen bike?

im 14 and i let this girl ride my bike to the park and i was like 3 blocks away from the park . . STUPID ME ! And i was by the library and i see two guys ride by on a bike one looked like mines but i couldnt know for sure so i went to the park and she was scared to tell me what happened. What does my kitten mean when she does this?

So, I adopted a three month old kitten from the streets. We have a great relationship and all, she rarely bites now and sleeps with me at night either curled up at my neck or on my stomach purring, and kneads my arm all the time. But sometimes during the day when she wants to play with me, or whenever I'm sitting on the couch or the floor or in reachable distance, she likes to pounce on my hand or feet and try to bite or swat with her paws at it. Which bike should i buy?

I was in my local shop recently, there was a person there who had just bought a bike in Canadian tire, it still had the stickers and tags on it. The bike was brought in for a complete tune up because the brakes and gears didn't work properly, it hadn't been assembled correctly. Bikes like those go out of adjustment quickly, requiring frequent maintenance. Bikes from department stores only come in one size that probably won't fit you. 24" wheels are for children, not adults. If you have short legs for your height, you need to be properly fitted on a bike, Sears or Canadian tire are not able to do that for you, they don't have bikes in different frame sizes.

Well to start, this woman is my ex girlfriend. We have not been together in six months. Question about ADD and medicine?

Alright, I take vyvance 60mg and unlike other people I have never had any side effects to it. But that's not really what this is about. I'm almost out with this prescription and I was thinking about just laying off it at least until college starts up. The reason it has taken me so long to want to go off it is because of how I act when I go off it for day or two. Basically when I'm off of it, I don't have much energy. I think that you mean that the pads are stuck under the rim. You will have to loose the nut or the screw that holds them on place and then they will be released. Then tighten them again. Make sure they set against the rim when you pull the lever, not under and not against the rubber.

Well this past sunday my little sister had her birthday party, and since our birthdays are only 2 days apart she had her annoying little friends over and I had my boyfriend over, along with one of my guy friends I've practically known since I was born. About two weeks ago I was doing laundry. As I do every week I just threw the laundry bin into the washer. Now my cat was pregnant and I haven't seen her in a few days, I had assumed she was having her kittens somewhere in the garden or shed, as she usually do. Unfortunately I did not realise that she had the kittens in the laundry bin. To my dismay I realised this when I went to take my laundry out of the washer, eight dead kittens were infused with my clothes, it was horrible. I buried all my clothes from the wash along with the kittens. Since them my cat has really started to pit revenge against me, she just scratches everything and even tries to attack me sometimes. My friend told my that I should rub some of her poo into her then this would show her that she should respect me. I've tried this and a few other prescribed remedies, but nothing worked, she only seems to hate me more. I would like to know if anyone out there knows some form of cat/human therapy which can reconcile our lost relationship or you think buying her other kittens would work?

Friend passed out what happened?

So me and my friend went to a party the other night everything went fine. She got drunk, but nothing new. The next day we go over to my other friends house and smoke a few bowls. Again nothing special. All of the sudden she just falls straight to the ground and hits her head on a cabinet. I had no idea what was going on and she barely reacted to hitting her head and just laid there. i knew something was up so i helped her up and asked what wrongs and she barely responded, then she slowly hunches over and falls backwards and passes out again! So now I'm freaking out, I slap her face a little to wake her up and i pull her up to go sit her on the couch. On the way to the couch she can barely take 5 steps without her whole body shutting down and not being responsive. She'd just slump to the ground. Every time its only for about 20 sec then she can barely respond. I'd have to yell her name for her to wake back up. She'll open her eyes, stand back up and say im fine then the next 5 steps she would just go limp again. i had to hold her up the entire time so that when she blacked out she wouldn't fall and hit something. Then i finally sat her down cuz she could not walk without passing out. She was in a cold sweat and said she just wanted to sleep but i wouldn't let her afraid she wouldn't wake back up. After a while she was fine and was light headed the rest of the day. So my question is what happened!? Did she get drugged at the party? She does not do any other drugs besides pot and alcohol and she was not dehydrated and had plenty of sleep.

Need help on finding mountain bike in my price range?

Fist of all I'm not experienced at mountain biking, I had the idea of mountain biking for exercise but after doing a lot of research on it I've completely fell in love with it and I know it's going to be a great hobby of mine. The type of mountain biking I'm going to be doing is dirt jumping/freeride/downhill and maybe as I get better some intermediate terrains. It is a neutered male. He pisses on the couch non stop. He has a huge litter box that he and 3 other cats share plus a smaller one. I will wash the couch cushions and not 20 mins after putting them back on he pissed on them again. I think you should talk to him and tell him how much his behaviour is upsettig you. I understand how frustrating OCD can be; I have it myself- i constantly wash my hands, have to check things various times and i overthink things so much to the point it drives me insane. i know many other people who had OCD, all in different forms for instance my mother has OCD about cleaning and tidiness and it pisses me off so much!! I think everyone has OCD, but in different forms. I think you should talk to him, tell him how upset you are and maybe suggest he go to cognitive behavioural therapy for his OCD, I havent tried it, but I hear it helps. How to cool down my bed room fast?

When someone talks to you, do you explain your thoughts to them clearly?

Like whenever I would talk to someone. I used to be so concentrated on my anxiety while listening to them talk that I wasn't listening to what they were saying so I seem like a dumbass. Today I'm starting to realize that I can explain my thoughts just like everyone else and not just answer with one word but whatever I'm feeling at the time, like if I get asked to look for the controller to the T.V, I would just say 'Okay' but it just hit me that I can and should day more than just 'Okay' but maybe 'I thought it was on the couch right here, I'll look for it' Stuff like that. When someone asks you to do something or just makes small talk with you, do you ever explain what YOUR feeling like if they ask you to go do something and you've been there before would you say 'Okay' or would you be like 'Oh I've been there before, that place is awesome let's go!' ? Really bad kitten problems!!?

I've had my kitten for about three months and he's four months now. We let him go ANYWHERE and do anything he wants. He just can't go on top of our one leather set of couches since it's really expensive and my mom doesn't like cats as it is. Turns out, he scratched them very badly. I've tried everything. Catnip on a scratching post works very little, only for a couple of seconds and I've tried so many repellents and they don't work on him. He's a very sweet cat most of the time but he randomly pounces on me and tries to bite me. The boulder is more of a family easy going trail bike, it is not intended for jumping as it is heavy and the forks are kinda light weight. Go to the bike shop and get fitted for the proper size but most likely a med. (18") will be the right size unless you have real short legs.

My 16 yr. Brother, as any 16 yr old, likes to relieve stress (if you catch my drift). I recently just moved in with my brother and his girlfriend, bcuz my boyfriend was mistreating me. Anyway I have lived with them before, they are charging me rent $300/mo. Other things she does is one day I forgot to put away the cereal box after I was done with it bcuz I was running late to work and I have to take the bus. She sends me a picture of it and asks me what's wrong with this picture, I'm like seriously just put it away. She get made when I'm in the kitchen bcuz I "leave crumbs" I always wipe up after myself but whatever so I just basically stay in my room unless I have to get ready for work, I've lost ten pound bcuz I don't like to eat around them bcuz I'm afraid she'll ***** about something. Bad... Mongoose has never beena good bike brand and if you found one for 800 bucks, it's made out of gold. We the people are pretty good but arnt the best, especially for street. If your looking for street bikes i would suggest: Stolon, Sunday, and fit, but deffinitly NOT Haro. Haro is crap now. If your looking for a race bike i would suggest: RedLine, Crupi, and Intense. And if you have the money... Definitly a Supercross, which are the best racing bmx bikes hands down but you can expect to pay a little more. Hope i helped

Court orders being broken by father towards visitation?

My dad abused my mom when i was little he choked her and spit at her. He threw coffee at her and he threw a ton of other stuff at her. My dad was in the mental hospital for bipolar and he later claims he doesnt have it. He tells the court thats why when he does stuff wrong. While he was in the hospital we moved and never told him. He eventually found out and broke the restraining order. But hes done this several times before. My mom has had a restraining order for awhile. He was eventually granted visitation that was supervised he just couldnt pick us up or drop us off at first visitation was for an hour a day at a family center. He pushed us to ask for more and we did because nobody told us what was really going on only him. We kept doing so and were grante more and more until it was every other weekend and thursdays. He yelled at me about not trying and not calling him enough. I called him everyday. He yelled at me the whole time i was there and i couldnt even read. I could only sit and cuddle with him on a couch. He made remarks about me being on my period all the time. I eventually fought hard against visitation with the promise of not being able to be yelled at or talked about it from my dad. I was granted no weekends. He was told not to say a word About it to me and like always broke the order. When they went back to court to make it permanent he used me as a bargain chip for my brother. He was then allowed to stay with him and have visitation with my mom over summer. He will never stand up to my dad for what he wants. Now he got him and the order says he isnt even allowed to say the word visitation to me but hes breaking it. He told me we ARE going camping this weekend. I dont want to i. Cant do it anymore he wears me down so much emotionally and my moms afraid he will turn physically abusive towards me like he did her. Every time i have to go there he only tells me to ask for more or i wont get anything for my birthday. He is trying to force me back in visit

Isn't my BMX (Mongoose subject 2011) is too heavy to do some trick, ex. bunny hop?

I would not trust my body to a newer Mongoose for BMX. Those bikes are NOT meant for tricks, despite their advertising. I had a friend who took his 2009 Mongoose to a park, where he bunnyhopped off a ramp and the frame cracked, and the arm fell off of the forks. They are cheaply made, the metals used are cheap, and are not constructed to face such stress. Leave the K-Mart bike for leisure riding, and get a 1990's Mongoose, or go with a good bike (Haro, Verde, Sunday, ETC) Weight on that bike isn't a problem, its the construction. I have a Haro F3 which I customized and it is built like a tank.

If a mongoose was as big as a lion?

If it was that big it wouldn't be nearly as fast... brave and tenacious for sure but lind of loose its edge by getting bigger. On the other hand Lions are lazy they wait to size up the cost/benefit of any conflict before getting involved...is it really worth it, what else is available. would something else be easier and more tasty?

How do I keep my handlebars from moving?

I just bought a new bike about 2 months ago. It's a 2010 Mongoose. Whenever I ride it my handlebars tilt forward or backwards. I tighten the stem, put the handlebars back to normal then tighten it again every time it moves, but they keep on moving back. Help!

Why am I always dreaming of my dead "ex" girlfriend?

We met at a hall of fame thing, and since we were the only teenagers there, and we were both alone because the rest of our families were elsewhere, we hit it off pretty quickly. We ended up kissing, and kind of became boyfriend and girlfriend. Afterwards, I had to leave the country (my family was only there for my father to accept a hall of fame reward). We started emailing each other about 6 or 7 months ago, and that went on for a while, but her father ended up being killed, and due to the circumstances she thought I might have known something about it, which I didn't. We ended up fighting, and broke up. about a month later, she was hit by a drunk driver and killed. Her mother emailed me to tell me this, and said that she (my ex) had been trying to apologize, and hopefully get back together. But then, all because of a some stupid drunk, she's dead and we have no hope of ever reconciling. then, about a week ago, I've been having dreams about her, including if I was at the accident, or if she was still alive, or what if she lived here instead. Its gotten to the point where I even see her elsewhere, for example, at this moment, I can see her in my computer monitor's reflection... How to stack pillows when humping?

Pregnant cat is leaking fluid but not showing signs of labor?

I am house and pet sitting for a woman I go to church with. Her cat is pregnant, and about an hour ago I noticed her bottom was soaked and looks like some mucas is hanging out (yuck). But she doesn't seem to notice it or care. She's jumping on the couch with me, and is now sleeping. She did lick at it a little, but not like I would assume a cat would. I am not a cat owner, so not real sure what I'm doing. I have called, and text the woman who owns the cat. She is on a cruise for a week. so I'm not sure if she has service or not. Is the cat in labor? since she's being so chilled, I am not as stressed as if she was meowing... I do not have any money, or I would take her to the vet. I guess mainly, my question is... since she's acting normal is labor day a while away? I'm hoping she will make it another 4 days till the owner comes home!

Need an apartment, but has bad credit. What to do?

A guy I know has been living off people's couches for the past year, since his divorce. He says his credit is bad, he doesn't have first and last month rent saved, and because of all the garnishments on his check [back child support, foreclosure, etc] he has little to live on. Mongoose & Cobra question.?

Okay so recently I was watching some YouTube videos and I came across a Mongoose fighting, killing and eating a Cobra, and a thought crossed my mind. Now I know the Cobras venom only lies in his bite but wouldnt the poison some how enter into the Mongooses (or any other animal that eats a poisonous animal for that matter) body and eventually kill/poison the Mongoose? Im just curious as to how that exactly works. Or what about an animal that eats a poisonous animal and the poison is on their flesh? How do they not die or get some kind of effects from the poisons on or in the other animals body? Lol this curious mind would appreciate any and all feed back. I've been backstabbed by several family members how can I get past this?

it's a long story. But basically I was recently betrayed by my aunt uncle and cousin who was more of a sister to me. I'm not coping with it well.
