Does anyone have a suggestion on a mountain bike for a larger man?

Im lookin for a mountain bike that's durable and a comfortable ride. The problem is im a little under 300 pounds, that's the reason I want a bike, lol. I don't want to spend a lot. Im trying to keep it under 350. I've looked at several mongoose models and like the look. But, I'll take suggestions. Thanks
